History 2019 - 2025

DRIP was born in 2019, when sisters Miet and Lut — both with a shared passion for coffee — decided to start a mobile coffee bar as a side business. What began as a small-scale initiative quickly grew into a fixture at numerous events.

In the following years, they gained a lot of experience at various locations: from weddings, communions, and baptisms to corporate events (such as Raw Materials, coaching events, and fashion store openings) and even festivals like Brosella. Their presence became increasingly appreciated and DRIP grew into a trusted name within the party and event sector, where they were always welcome back.

This accumulated expertise forms the basis for the next step: the development of DRIP COFFEE. The focus shifts to a permanent location with its own coffee bar and roastery, where experience, quality, and personality come together. The mobile part will remain — albeit to a lesser extent — as an extension of the brand and its roots.

Who is Drip Coffee today?

In 2025, Joris takes over from Lut, working with Miet to further develop the company. This transition not only brings continuity but also strengthens internal expertise: Miet has years of experience as a barista and instructor, while Joris is professionally certified as a coffee roaster.

Their combined know-how forms a solid operational base and ensures thorough control over the entire production process and customer journey. This in-house expertise translates into a strong, quality-oriented brand that exudes credibility and trust within the industry.

More than coffee: authenticity and additional expertise

What makes Miet and Joris unique is the authentic way they integrate their diverse backgrounds into the company.

Miet is not only an experienced barista but also a passionate photographer, with a keen eye for aesthetics and design. Her education as a dietitian also strengthens the focus on quality, health, and taste experience — essential aspects in the food industry, and thus also in coffee. In addition, her work experience at I Love Coffee, Kokako (New Zealand, both the coffee bar and the roastery), and OR (under the wings of Katrien Pauwels) is an incredible asset.

Joris, in turn, brings communication and organizational skills from his involvement as an active board member of a non-profit organization. Thanks to his education as a teacher, he knows how to convey complex information clearly and substantiated — an added value in both customer service and knowledge sharing. With a full-fledged education as a professional coffee roaster via CoffeeMind (Copenhagen) and five years of valuable work experience at OR (under the wings of Tom Janssen), he also has a solid foundation.

Our approach is rooted in passion, quality, and customer focus — values that we consistently uphold in every aspect of our operations, with more than 10 years of combined experience!

At the end of 2025, the idea arose to start our own roastery in addition to the mobile coffee bar. Thus, Drip Coffee Roasters was born.

In 2026, this idea took further shape and since February, we have been operational with our micro-roastery in Zottegem. Here we roast high-quality coffee that is both authentic and accessible. Without compromises in terms of origin, quality, or identity, and with a strong focus on transparent sourcing and careful branding.

At Drip Coffee, everything revolves around quality and character. We consciously choose coffee with its own identity, ensuring that its unique character is preserved at every step of the process.

Meanwhile, our mobile coffee bar remains active. Fancy coffee at your event? Feel free to book us via phone or email.
