V60 Feature 1: Conical Shape

The V60's distinctive conical shape ensures that the layers of ground coffee become thicker than on the flat surface of a traditional trapezoidal dripper. The conical shape directs the hot water to the center, keeping it in contact with the coffee longer and ensuring optimal extraction of flavors and aromas.

V60 Feature 2: Spiral Ribs

When the coffee is saturated, the high ribs do not impede expansion and create an air layer between the filter paper and the dripper wall. The twisted ribs prevent the paper and dripper from sticking together, allowing air to circulate and the coffee to expand sufficiently. This promotes even extraction.

The V60 has a single large hole at the bottom, unlike multiple smaller holes found in traditional trapezoidal drippers.
